My first outing with a camera saw me heading for Stanley Park in Blackpool with the intention to ensnare a Grey Heron in the heronry at the zoo entrance side of the Lake. However, although present and at the nest site they were all looking away from me at the nearest point for photographing. However, I did manage to take a number of photographs with my newly purchased Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR digital camera using the 42 optical manual barrel zoom which offers the user everything from detailed macro close-ups at 1cm to a wide-angle landscape view at 24mm right through to an impressive 1000mm action experience. This will be my camera of choice for the foreseeable future as I build up my knowledge and experience.

Okay. Certainly pleased with my first outing using this camera while attempting to get to grips with the ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperature. Its a start and I can only improve!
